Jinmi Pyongyang Naengmyeon
This restaurant ranks among the top 3 Pyongyang naengmyeon (cold noodles) spots in Seoul. It was even featured on the popular Korean YouTube channel “Sung Si Kyung’s Meok-eultende”. Known for its rich and authentic broth, this restaurant boasts over 20 years of expertise in Pyongyang-style cold noodles.
As you approach the entrance, you’ll notice there are two dining areas: the main branch and an expanded annex right across. Both serve the same menu, so you can choose either. The restaurant seems to be growing in size, reflecting its popularity.
For parking, valet service is available at a flat fee of 3,000 KRW. Simply pull up to the entrance, and they’ll take care of your car.
This restaurant has been recognized by the Michelin Guide Seoul 2023 and also featured on the TV show “Delicious Guys”. Judging by the happy expressions of other diners, it’s clear the food here is highly satisfying. Interestingly, Pyongyang naengmyeon has gained popularity among younger people these days.

Signature Dishes
The main highlights here are Pyongyang Naengmyeon, Jeyuk (boiled pork slices), and Eobok Jaengban (a hotpot dish). Many diners pair their naengmyeon with jeyuk, which is tender boiled pork served as a side dish.
When we visited, we ordered both naengmyeon and jeyuk. Though the portions seemed large, we managed to finish everything—it was that good! The pork was soft and flavorful. I was tempted to have a shot of soju, but since I drove, I resisted.
Pyongyang Naengmyeon Review
The naengmyeon arrived, and as always, I started by tasting the beef topping. The broth here is clear, with a deep, refreshing flavor that’s truly satisfying. It’s one of the best I’ve had.
Located between Hakdong Station and Gangnam-gu Office Station, the restaurant is easily accessible. Next time, I’ll leave my car behind so I can enjoy a glass of soju with the meal. 😊
